Rot Gut Wars

Rot Gut Wars is a fast paced 2D platformer multiplayer game that is very easy to learn but hard to master. It is intended to be a party game so potentially anyone would be able to pickup a controller and enjoy the game.

It's based on our previous title Rot Gut ( store.steampowered.com/app/395500 ) which has similar mechanics but is a single player experience. We kept what people loved about that game while adding multiplayer aspects to it.

The game currently has 4 game modes with many more in development:
- Free For All (FFA): You get points by killing other players.
- Last Man Standing: If you die, you won't get respawned for this round, the last remaining player scores.
- Gem Wars: You have to carry a gem around the map and throw it on a designated area. You will be slower while carrying the gem and if you get shot, the gem will get thrown on the direction of the bullet and if it gets into the designated area, your killer will score!
- Coin Wars: The player with most coins wins. If you die, your coins will pour out of you and others can collect them. Coins will randomly spawn around the map as well.

We've tested the game extensively with different players and studied tons of footage of recorded gameplay videos and modified the game accordingly.

We've been working on it for about 8 months now and want to continue to do so until perfection. having it on greenlight and early access will help us with funds and feedback from community.
